About Bio:sudo & Our Science Team

Who Writes Our Content

Bio:sudo's journal is written and reviewed by Alex Chen, MS, a nutritional biochemist with a Master of Science in Human Nutrition from the University of Washington. Alex has spent the last eight years reviewing clinical research in longevity supplementation, NAD+ metabolism, and adaptogenic botanicals. His work focuses on translating peer-reviewed evidence into practical supplementation protocols — without the hype that dominates most of the industry.

Before joining Bio:sudo, Alex worked as a research associate at a clinical nutrition lab where he contributed to studies on NAD+ precursors and mitochondrial function. He has reviewed over 400 published human clinical trials on supplements including NMN, NR, KSM-66 ashwagandha, and magnesium glycinate.

Our Evidence Standard

Every claim in our journal meets at least one of the following criteria before publication:

  • Supported by at least one randomized controlled trial (RCT) in human subjects
  • Supported by mechanistic research with a plausible human extrapolation
  • Clearly labeled as observational, animal, or in-vitro evidence

We do not publish anecdotal claims as evidence. We do not promote supplements that lack human trial data. When the evidence is mixed or limited, we say so — and we cite both sides.

How We Select Ingredients

Bio:sudo formulates around biological protocols, not market trends. Every ingredient in our lineup was selected based on three criteria:

  1. Human clinical evidence: Has the ingredient been tested in RCTs with measurable outcomes in humans?
  2. Form specificity: Is this the bioavailable form shown to be effective in trials (e.g., KSM-66 vs generic ashwagandha, glycinate vs oxide magnesium)?
  3. Dose accuracy: Does our product deliver the dose used in clinical studies — not a sub-therapeutic amount buried in a proprietary blend?

Our Manufacturing Standards

All Bio:sudo products are manufactured in FDA-registered, cGMP-certified facilities in the United States. Every batch is third-party tested for purity, potency, and heavy metal contamination. Certificates of Analysis (COAs) are available for every product via our COA Lookup.

Transparency Policy

We do not use proprietary blends. Every ingredient and its dose is disclosed on our label and supported by our published COAs. If a study we cited has been updated, corrected, or retracted, we update our content. Our publication dates and last-updated dates are visible on every article.
